Hello from NE Alberta
Hello everybody! I am located in Plamondon, AB. I raise dual registered appaloosas, teach riding lessons, train a few outside horses and show a bit as well. We just purchased a new stallion this spring and are looking forward to campaining him this year and standing him out in 2010.

Yep! His name is "Manny" aka Misters first Dream. We imported him from Illinois last month and are very happy with him. He is in Carstairs at a friends being started under saddle.
Re: Hello from NE Alberta
I'll definately be locating you more near the 2010 breeding season regarding Manny. I've been looking for a stallion like him LOCAL to me for quite some time.
Still trying to locate my mare's papers too, slightly annoyed.

Re: Hello from NE Alberta
Do you have any pics of your mare? What's her breeding like? You might be able to get a set re-issued from the registry, don't know for sure though. Manny will be ready for a few girlfriends next year
Re: Hello from NE Alberta
Don't mind my pics, I'm not the best photographer :-) I don't know her breeding, the 'registered' name her old owners gave me doesn't help me with anything. She looks Top Quest to me, but I could just be being hopeful lol. All breed pedigree database only pulls up some Morgan from the '80s (um, NOT her lol). I'd like to know for curiosity sakes, but papers don't mean much to me... doesn't change what she is. I'm still going to get on the old owner's case about the papers, it's only fair I get a hold of them.
They told me her name is "Dancers Fancy", but I dun have a clue.
thought I'd throw this one in, nappin in the springtime... ahhh ( I tried to crop out all the pasture apples backround but I dunno how to crop)
I love her build: boning, muscle mass and confo. She's got some issues I need cleared up with a vet before breeding. Your boy isn't ready for another year, considering I'm not in a rush it works out perfect. She's apparently had two foals in the past, if I can duplicate her with something equal or better I'm more than happy. Her temperment is utter sweetness, and is the most calming horse to be around I've ever known.
Your prospect is just georgous, my husband is beside himself even lol.

I highly DOUBT you'll have any trouble finding him some lady friends :-)
Re: Hello from NE Alberta
I looked her up on the ApHCC site and its says she has 2 reg. foals. You can download her pedigree there for a fee. Her reg # is 8865. You might want to contact the registry and see if they can help you get ahold of her papers. I asked for help to get a stallion report for a mare I bought a few years back when I was getting nowhere with the old owner.
She is VERY pretty! I too like her build and her color is great too.

OOH OOH, I could just hug you!!! I am new to the world of 'registrations'n whatnot, as you can tell have no clue where to look even lol. Thanks a ton for your help and yeah I think she's pretty too. I'm an assgirl (what appyfan isn't huh?)
Re: Hello from NE Alberta
No problem! The website for the ApHCC (Can. reg) is www.appaloosa.ca
She isn't registered with the ApHC (US Registry www.appaloosa.com ) but if you get her Can. papers before I think the end of June or July you can re-reg her with the ApHC and she'll be dual reg. like almost all of mine. The ApHCC is great to deal with are are very helpful. Good luck! Let me know what happens.

Re: Hello from NE Alberta
Oops, I went and paid for the papers for nuttin. Wrong horse, Dancer isn't 37 years old lol.
Thanks for your help anyways, I emailed her old owners again.

Re: Hello from NE Alberta
I guess her old owners got her name wrong. Maybe she is one of that horses offspring? Hope you get everything sorted out.
Re: Hello from NE Alberta
Well that's what I was wondering, I'm sure they are mistaken about the name (or maybe lying). They've been pretty slick with excuses as to why I don't have my papers or her info.
If I never locate them, heck they could be lying about her being registered at all. Would you be open to breeding non registered mares?

Re: Hello from NE Alberta
I am most definately open to breeding to non - reg. mares so don't worry about that part.
Re: Hello from NE Alberta
Well I'm sure between now and next breeding season we'll get to know eachother quite a bit on here. I'll be the first one pounding at your barn door for sure :-)
Love the paint on your website as well, your farm must be beautiful. Husband tells me it's a georgous area.
