Sueno`s FIRST Purebred Andalusian foals!!
Born April 18 at 10 to 9pm. A colt. LOL He looks like he was sired by a Zebra ! 12 hour old photo and then 14 hours old.
With what the cross breds looked like we knew we`d have something..but wow. We are very proud of our young stallion! It`s really cool as his left hind sock is roan Can`t wait to see how he looks tomorrow!
No more horse babies now ( except the donkeys) til mid May!

About 2 and half days old. I just love the stripes on him! He will be color tested to confirm if he is a Smoky Black, Smoky Brown, Sooty Buckskin and or Grullo.

Thank you . I would like to see more what this stallion produces. He has been colour tested and has he been tested for gray at all?

Re: Sueno`s FIRST Purebred Andalusian foals!!
Sueno is from two non-grey parents so he can not be grey. He is color tested EeAaCrCr. Grey can not skip a generation so he will never produce a grey foal unless bred to a grey. 2 grey parents can produce a non-grey but their is always a 50% chance that a grey horse will have a grey foal.( one that greys).
Many grey foals are born "buckskin" looking in this breed and some wil try to sell on that. If there are no cream dilute horses in the pedigree I would not breed to a grey horse in hopes of getting a Buckskin, or any other color unless the grey was color tested and the tests where willingly shared. I have seen stallions advertised with the selling words of "can produce Buckskin, Dun, etc" but no tests where done to prove a cream gene is even there to pass onto the foals. Any and all horses can produce these colors..it just depends who they are bred to!
When breeding horses one must first and formost breed for quality that is pasted on. One should never breed for color alone. But conformation, temperament, over-all quality topped by color to me is the ultamite goal! With so many stallions around mare owners can afford to shop around.
We are getting and exceeding our expectations of the ultimate performance horse...we don`t go back on that and will always expect it..we are just adding color now.

Purebred colt born May 7th. : )
New born:
3 hours old:
and then at 2 days of age! With how dark the bottom of his legs are we believe he will turn grey.
Stripes baby! 5 foals, 5 with stripes (dorsal and barring) like daddy Sueno. Most importantly Sueno is really starting to prove himself as a sire of round, solid and athletic babies!

PS> Sonho has been sold.
Sonho has sold and will be leaving to go out east with a yearling 1/2 Andalusian 1/2 Arabian Black colt at the end of August-middle of Sept. He sold on the 3rd of May. He will be used as a High-School horse and shown in Dressage as well as used as a stallion. : )
