Have you shown this guy at all?

He is just coming 3 yrs, so he has not been shown yet. I have got him started and we might start off with just some local open shows ( western pleasure) Then maybe take him to a trainer to try some reining. Depends how it all goes I guess. Right now he is doing great, my 12 yr old neice lopes him around like an old pony.

Do you mind me asking why you didn't futurity him? With bloodlines like that I would have had him in competition this year! It seems hard to find a reining trainer in Alberta that wants to take anything on that is already past futurity age. I know, I was on the search last year for my 3 year old, however for my 2 year old this year I called 3 excellent trainers and everyone of them was interested in taking her.

Hmm I have not had any trouble with finding trainers, I have had 2 horses already that have been to the NRHA futurities in OK, with Ward Ferch who is now at babcocks. Terry and Beryl Jarrett also have rode some of our horses. NRHA futurity would be awesome but its not going to happen this time sadly, no matter how much I wish it was. But we are going to keep up with his training and see where it leads us.
