Mare attacked!!

One of my mares was attacked by someone early morning Novermber 6. We found her at 9 am with a rope so tight around her neck she could barley breathe and her face all cut up all the way the bone from between her eyes to her muzzle. We later found the other part of the rope on my fence and there were struggle marks in the ground. Had the vet check her out today and she should be ok. It will take a few months to heal up and she may slough off some bone too. RCMP are useless but our county Animal Control Peace Officer is awesome! I hope they catch whoever did this before I do!!

OMG! That is so horrible! Thank goodness she is alright, and I hope they catch the horrid person who did this!

I would beat the living day lights out of whoever did it if I found them.

Does the animal control peace officers deal with stolen horses as well?

She is doing better, still not trusting people though ;( I can get a bit of dermagel on it but only on the exposed bone and then she leaves. The animal control peace officer deals with stolen horses too, I think.

Holy cow, I'm SO sorry someone would do something like this to your horse... WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!

I can't even imagine the rage you must feel, I just can't even picture it.

Do you think someone tried to steal her and it went bad? Or you think someone caught her with a rope just to cut her up?

Do you got any guard dogs on your property? Pretty sad to think one would NEED guard dogs for that but holy friggin cow,... I jsut can't beleive my eyes.

I hope for nothing but a speedy recovery for your sweet mare, both physically and mentally
