My Horsies (New and Old)
My first true horse was a 18 year old QH mare names Keelee. She was dead broke but still had that fire in her that gave you confidence with every ride with her yet you still felt safe. I sold her at the age of 23 to a nice lady who was trying to get her confidence back and she has taken very good care of her and keeps me updated.
Next was my husbands first horse after a long period of no horses since childhood. We found him for sale by an older couple who had had the misfortune of being thrown by him, by accident (neither parties fault). He was a cute little 8 year old Percheron QH X names Nabob (his twin brothers name was Maxwell House, someone had a sense of humour for those two). We sold him as well after moving here from B.C. cause we lived in town and didn't get out to see them much.
My most recent horse, which is my hubby's is a cute gelding named Monty. He is 10 years old, registered part bred Morgan (appy mother) and was meant to be a cow horse as he has speed, spirit, and absolutley loves to be ridden and has only one speed fast. So him and my hubby get along just great.
This next one isn't mine but I feel like she is as I've been working with her and got her riding again at the rescue I'm at, I'm debating if I should take her on as my pony but not sure yet. She's a 12 year old QH Pony X. She was terribly mean and would kick at you. But with work and patient she is now a really good riding horse, which we kinda thought she might had been in a previous life. The pic doesn't show her off that well but I love it.
