Sueno, imported from Spain in 2007, is the World`s Only Double Cream Dilute Pure Spanish Portuguese Andalusian to be bred in Spain to DNA`d and Micro-chipped by the Cria Caballar (Spanish Military), ANNCE and International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association. We had a very small window, 2 weeks, to get his Carta before we imported him and are fortunate to have him listed as " equidos de pura raza"(Horse of Pure Blood!) in Spain. Sueno as a young 3 year old.
History on the Iberian is, before the 1950`s, the two countries of Spain and Portugal shared the same stud book and used each others breeding stock. Due to Political reason only, mainly what to call the Iberian/Andalusian horse, the two countries separated the stud book and each came up with a name of their own. They are the same breed (like your Polish, Russian or Straight Egyptian Arabians are the same breed) but called Caballos de Pura Raza Espanol (PRE , Purebred Spanish Horses), or Cavalo Puro Sangue Lusitano (PSL, Pure Blooded Lusitanos). Sueno with our PSL stallion "Shads", 2 year old and 6 years old.

However Spain took on a more "Flashy, high stepping" angle to breeding where as Portugal stuck with the more traditional working type whose type is recorded back as far as 25000 years ago in cave etchings.

From his PRE sire Sueno has movement and lift to die for! From his dam, extremely athletic, rounded form and cow-sense. From both sides Sueno is proving to be true to his bloodlines for super agility, willingness to learn and flare! Sueno as a coming 3 year old.

Our first foals from this young stallion are now just being born and they are out of daughters from 2 PRE stallions we own or have owned. These foals, 3/4 to Purebred blood, are far exceeding our expectations regardless of the bloodline cross on the partbreds!

We are proud to have stallions of all three Bloodline crosses in our breeding program: PRE, PSL and SP. No other farm in Canada offers this.
