Hi, I am looking for a bay thoroughbred mare that is 3 years and up that is around 16hh. She must have clean legs, and be in good health. Must be broke preferable english. I am looking for a jumping/dressage prospect. If she is trained for that then excellent. I will be working with a trainer. Looking for a mare that's price is $2000 and under, unless a payment plan can be used. Thanks.

Have you found a TB mare yet? If not, I have a lovely 2001, bay, 16hh mare available. Green but great work ethic, professionally started w/t/c, started over poles. Has had the last 2 years off but ridden intermittently, really the kind of horse you can pull out of the pasture and ride. Video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMnuXt39a8I

Please feel free to request more information if you are interested.

Kind Regards,
Leah

Have you tried Bar NK Rescue? She has many contacts for beautiful reg. thoroughbreds, and the prices are quite low. It would save one more from being shipped for slaughter. There is nothing wrong health wise with the horses, they are just too slow for the track. www.barnkrescue.com

Contact the different Race tracks. 99% of the time when horses don`t work out, mainly do to lack of speed, these mares are GIVEN away!
Heck our Magic came off the track sound and as sweet as pie. Very safe to ride by anyone, did lead changes, easy to stop and went from jockey saddle to western saddle like it was nothing new. She`s 16-16.1 hands.
it doesn`t take much to get them back to none high concintrated feeds either.
OTTB and StdBreds are some of the easiest to handle and retrain horses around. Many people will tell you it takes a lot to retrain them or get them onto "regular" feed but this is not true. If you have any questions about that just PM : )

Does it have to be a mare?

A friend of mine is selling her 2001 16.1hh registered bay TB gelding. Started over fences up to 2'9" but can and will go higher.
